I posted this really simple osx android player installation guide awhile back. Installing Mac Os X Lion On Dell Xps L502x L502x.

Hello,I have a Dell XPS L502X Model: P11F, here are the specs:CPU: Intel i5-2410M 2.30GHzRAM: 8GBGraphics: Nvidia GeFore GT 525MOkay, so I followed the guide posted on this website and did the following:1.Purchased mountain lion from my friends macbook2.Used disk utilities on mac to properly format my 16gb usb3. Ran Unibeast with success4. Changed the BIOS settings as indicated in the guide5.
Changed the boot order to USB first6. Booted from USB, chose the apple logo to install, then I kept waiting until a 'flag' appeared on the apple logo. (I concluded that it didn't work and restarted)7.Booted from USB again, but I used the boot command '-v' to see what was wrong, it kept going until it read 'waiting on root device'From here I did a lot of research and found out that 'waiting on root device' means it cannot find my USB stick. The reason for that is because it is most likely inserted on a USB 3.0.
On my laptop I have 2 USB 3.0 ports and 1 sata/USB port (combined), I don't have a stand alone USB 2.0 port. I tried all of the ports but none of them worked. I thought maybe the USB stick was messed up so I tried it on my sisters HP laptop and it worked from the first try. Here is my question. How can I install mountain lion on my laptop if I have no USB 2.0 ports? I would be quite upset if I cant since I spent $20 on mountain lion. If anybody knows a way around please help me, it would mean a lot.
Thank You in advance. Hey man, sorry to see you having problems with your hackintosh! As a matter of fact, I just got mine working over here.
I've got a Dell XPS L502X also, but with the Intel i7-2670QM, but the same with other parts. I had gotten the unibeast going, but with quite a bit of troubleshooting, and luck I guess. Not many people Hackintosh our laptop, so that didn't help.Anyways, the fix I got for it was to in fact use the flags '-x -v -f GraphicsEnabler=No', with my unibeast USB plugged into a 3.0 port. Once it reached the 'still waiting for root device,' I plugged it into the SATA hybrid port, and voila! It worked!Try that out, and if it doesn't work, maybe I can help some more.
